Update 09-2016 – We have launched a webpage with the full details of the pilot residential parking permit program here.
In July 2015, the Department of Transportation began the process of creating and implementing a new Pilot Residential Parking Permit program for District 1. For the complete history of previous articles check my website.
This July, the Department of Transportation (DOT) and my staff, met with the parking permit advisory group (a group composed of neighbors from each of the neighborhoods along Winchester Boulevard). DOT shared the parking profile data they gathered for each neighborhood and discussed possible options neighbors will be asked to consider.
DOT and my staff will begin setting up meetings with individual neighborhood groups in August/September to talk about how the Pilot RPP Program could work in their neighborhoods. Additionally, during the meetings, staff will also go over the history and the remaining steps needed to implement the program. For more information about the program, you can contact Ed Brooks in my office at (408) 535-4901 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
